Wyomissing is a town in eastern Pennsylvania.

It was originally the homeland of the Lenape Indians, and the town's name means "land of flats" in the Delaware language. The land was given to William Penn in 1685, but a permanent settlement was not established until 1896, as an area for lumber-dealing and as a through-point for the Reading Railroad.

Today, Wyomissing is a suburban area best known for its stately, colonial-style upper middle class homes.

Taylor Swift: I view this town as my true childhood home. My family moved here in 2000, when I was nine years old. I grew up in a beautiful yellow-brick colonial house with a sun-room on one side and a columned portico overlooking the lush green yard on the other.
