WorcesterMA Downtown
Worcester is the second-largest city in New England, and the second-largest in Massachusetts.

The first European in the area was John Eliot the Missionary, who explored the land in 1673 hoping to found a "praying town" to evangelize to Native American inhabitants. This town was created in 1674, though it became more of a European town and saw the leavetaking of most of the native population.

Today, Worcester is known for its central location at the "heart" of Massachusetts, for its modern and historic architecture, downtown area, and as the site of the invention of Valentine's Day cards.
