Winston Churchill
Winston Churchill was an English politician, statesman, author, army officer, artist, and historian. He was Prime Minister of the United Kingdom from 1940 - 1945, and again from 1951 - 1955. 

A major figure of World War II, he is credited as one of the central figures in leading Britain to victory over Nazi Germany.

He was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature.
