Washington is a small town in western Connecticut.

Originally inhabited for thousands of years by the Wyantenock Native American Indians, the area was first settled in 1734. It was originally named as "Judea Parish."

Today, Washington is known as a boutique New England location, clustered with luxurious mansions and an elite, wealthy population. Many of the elite businessmen and families of New York own summer homes here. Additionally, Washington is known for its lush greenery, waterfalls, pictaresque scenery, history, and active community.

Jeremiah Day: I was born here in 1773, in the Preston Hill area. I was the son of a reverend, and my father was the pastor of a church here. I was always an intelligent, great student, and went off to study at Yale in 1789, at the age of 16.
