Waltham is a town in northeastern Massachusetts, at times nicknamed "Watch City" due to its ties with watchmaking and clockmakers.

It was first settled in 1634 as a part of the town of Watertown, Massachusetts, but split into its own city in 1738. Today, the town is known for its history of watchmaking, former and historic industrial plants, as an early example of city planning and design, its two universities, lush natural beauty, and upper-class homes.
