Waitsfield in People's Lives

Grace Potter: I was born here in 1983, and grew up here. My parents are both artists, though my father also owns a signage company, and my mother worked as a designer of pottery bowls until 2011, when she retired. My maternal grandfather was a scientist and engineer who invented the path to transistors being used in everyday electronics. I moved to Canton, New York in 2001, at the age of 18, to attend St. Lawrence University, the same university that my parents had attended. I still visit my parents often, as they still live here.
