Utica NY
Utica is a town in central New York state, on the Mohawk River. It was first settled by Europeans in 1758 as military Fort Schuyler, named after Philip Schuyler.

Today, Utica is known for its struggle with poverty and unemployment, its iconic Utica Clock, and historic downtown area.

Samuel Morse: I married my second wife, Sarah, here in August of 1848. I was 57, and my younger bride was 25. She was also my second-cousin, and deaf, highly intelligent and educated. Sarah and I went on to have four children together.

Viggo Mortensen: I traveled here in 2011 to film scenes of the movie On the Road.
