Trim Castle Hotel Wedding.jpg

Trim is a town in the province of Leinster in northeastern Ireland, located on the River Boyne.

The first settlement here was a monastery built in the 5th Century, traditionally ascribed to having been established by St. Patrick. The monastery was destroyed and burned to the ground several times during the 12th Century. Trim Castle was built here beginning in 1172, and the town of today formed around it. Trim Castle remains the largest Norman castle in Ireland.

In modern times, Trim is best known for its castle, as well as for its boutique hotels and wedding venues.
