Tordesillas is a town in the community of Castile y Leon in northwestern Spain, located 15 miles southwest of Valladolid on the Duero River.
It was originally founded as a Roman town, called "Turris Sillae." It became an official town in 1262.
Today, Tordesillas is known for its architecture, downtown appeal, cuisine, luxurious hotels and restaurants, annual and controversial bull run, churches, and festivities.
