Tallahassee is the capital city of Florida, located in the north of the state.

Inhabited since approximately the 13th Century by various Native American tribes, the first European contact was by Hernando de Soto in 1538. However, the city itself was established around 1818.

Today, it is known for being Florida's capital, as well as for its cold weather by Floridian standards and universities.
