St. Augustine is a town on the northeastern coastline of Florida, located 40 miles southeast of Jacksonville. It is the oldest continuously inhabited European city in the United States, and is the headquarters of the Florida National Guard.

The first European contact was by Juan Ponce de Leon in 1513. The town was founded in 1565, and then was the capital of Spanish Florida for 200 years.

Today, St. Augustine is known as one of the most beautiful and historic towns in the United States, notable for its beaches, architecture, charming downtown area, and boutique hotels.
