Sonning-on-Thames is a small town in the county of Berkshire in southern England, located on the River Thames. 

It was founded in Anglo-Saxon times, then called "Sunning." By the 12th Century, it had become a busy little town with eight independent churches.

Today, Sonning-on-Thames, often nicknamed simply Sonning, is known for its lush and pictaresque appearance, tranquility, gardens, riverfront, and fairytale atmosphere.
