Smithers is a town in the province of British Columbia in western Canada.

It was founded in 1913 as a headquarters for the Grand Trunk Pacific Railway, and was officially made a town in 1921.

Today, Smithers is known for its quiet small town atmosphere, natural surroundings, mountains, skiing, and autumn colors.
