Sunset in Saltcoats
Saltcoats is a town in the area of North Ayrshire on the southwestern coastline of Scotland.

Its name comes from its former salt industry, when salt was harvested from the sea by the inhabitants living in small cottages along the coastline.

Today, it is known for its rocky beaches, wind harvesting energy, turbulent weather and seas, and railway station.
