Salisbury is a town in the county of Wiltshire in southern England, nestled at the confluence of five rivers.
With a rich and long history, Salisbury was the original site of Sarum, and the area has been inhabited since the Neolithic Era. A hill fort was established in the Iron Age, and was later inhabited by the Romans.
Today, Salisbury is known for its cathedral, as the meeting place of five rivers, for its history, close proximity to Stonehenge, canals and riverfront, downtown area, historic houses, and art scene.
