Salem is a city in northeastern Massachusetts.

The town was founded in 1626, and is best known for its role in the notorious Salem Witch Trials of 1642.

Still today, the town is known for its eerie beauty, graveyards, and attractions with morbid names, such as Gallows Hill, as well as for its annual Halloween celebrations.

Anne Bradstreet: At age 18, I sailed from England with my father and husband, and landed here in 1630. Life was hard, and we ended up leaving in 1632 due to starvation and illness.
