Sakata Festival
Sakata is a city in northwestern Japan, situated over the Mogami River.

The area was once the capital of the ancient Dewa Province, around 700 AD. The city was fortunate enough to all but escape damage during World War II, but in 1976 was torn apart by a major fire.

Today, Sakata is known for its fishing economy, annual festival, and modern buildings.
