Red Hook is a town in south-eastern New York. It was first settled in the late 1600's, and was then known as Rhinebeck, but was re-named Red Hook in 1813, after foilage on trees in the Hudson River.

Two universities, Bard College and The Unification Theological Seminary, are located just outside the town.
