Plato was a Classical Greek philosopher and mathemetician, considered to be one of the greatest minds of all time, especially in the development and foundation of philosophy.

He was tutored as a boy by Socrates, and in turn tutored Aristotle. He founded the Academy in Athens, the first university or institution of higher learning in the Western world.
