Paul the Apostle was a Roman-Jewish apostle, though not one of the original twelve apostles, who taught the theologies of Jesus Christ after his death. He was the earliest figure in forming what would become the religion of Christianity, and the idea of churches. Fourteen of the twenty-seven books of the New Testament are attributed to Paul.
