Ottawa in People's Lives

Jude Law: I traveled here in 2008 to film scenes of the movie Mr. Nobody

Margaret Atwood: I was born here in 1939, the middle child of three. My father was an entomologist and my mother was a former dietician and nutritionist, now housewife. Due to my father's jobs studying forests, we often moved in a sort of rotation from this city, to Sault Saint Marie, to Toronto and back, though this city was our primary base during my early childhood. From a young age, I was a voracious reader, and I began writing at the age of 6. I did not attend school regularly until I was 8 years old, in 1947, when we settled in Toronto.
