Milwaukee is the largest city in the state of Wisconsin, located in the southeast of the state on Lake Michigan. It is the 39th most-populated city in the United States.

Originally inhabited by a variety of different Native American tribes, a settlement was established here in 1818 by a French Canadian explorer, Solomon Juneau, cousin of Joseph Juneau, who would go on to establish Juneau, Alaska. It was made a town in 1846.

Today, Milwaukee is known as a gem of the northern United States, notable for its riverfront, skyline, and charming downtown area.
