Milan is a small town in northern Ohio, located on the Huron River.

It was first settled as a missionary village directed to the Native Americans in 1805, though this was abandoned in 1809. The town of today was established in 1817, originally named "Beatty."

Today, it is best known as the birthplace of Thomas Edison.
