Medias is a town in the area of Transylvania in central Romania, on the Tarnava Mare River.

It was founded in 1146, making it one of the oldest towns in Transylvania. The St. Margaret's Church, built in 1414, served to greatly heighten the town's recognition and population.

Today, Medias is known for its pictaresque appeal, downtown area, history, church, and quaint, pretty appearance.
