Lyme Regis is a town in Dorset in southern England. It was established sometime in approximately the 9th Century, and was known as simply "Lyme" until 1281, when "Regis" was added to its name.

Lyme Regis has long held a notable history as a fossil hunting ground, and is part of the Jurassic Coast, a World Heritage Site. It is also known for its cliffs, rocky beaches, and historic functioning mill.
