Lublin is the ninth-largest city in Poland and the second-largest city in the area of Lesser Poland. It is the largest Polish city east of the Vistula River. It is located 106 miles southeast of Warsaw.

The first actual settlement here was established in the early Dark Ages, though archaelogical evidence indicates that there were inhabitants of the area long before that. The first settlement was in the 6th Century.

Today, Lublin is known for its architecture, culture, and for its low cost of living.
