Lonato del Garda is town in the region of Lombardy in northern Italy. It is located on Lake Garda, the largest lake in Italy, about halfway between Venice and Milan

The town began as a Roman settlement, though there is certainly much evidence of previous habitation, dating back to the Bronze Age. During the Middle Ages, the town was destroyed and rebuilt numerous times.

Today, it is known for its history, beautiful lake views and nearby hill country, medieval castle, and Roman ruins.
