Lleida is a city in the community of Catalonia in northeastern Spain, one of the oldest cities in the region. 

Settlement has existed here since the Bronze Age. In ancient times, it was known as "Iltreda" or "Ilerda" prior to Roman invasion. After being conquered by the Romans, it was made a colony of Roman Hispania.

Today, Lleida is known for its architecture, cathedral, history, commerce, and growing size.
