Kutna Hora is a town in the region of Bohemia in the central Czech Republic.

It was founded in 1142, when a monastery - the first Cistercian monastery in Bohemia - was built. In 1260, the town became a German silver mining location and grew prosperous and powerful. From the 13th to 16th Centuries, Kutna Hora was one of the most elite cities in Bohemia, competing with Prague.

Today, Kutna Hora is known as one of the lesser-traveled to gems of Europe, notable for its architecture, history, World Heritage sites, cathedral, monastery, Jesuit college, Sedlec Ostuary (largely constructed and decorated with human bones), and for its beauty.
