Kosice City Of Slovak 2
Kosice is the second-largest city in Slovakia, the largest city in eastern Slovakia, and was the first settlement in Europe to recieve its own coat-of-arms. It is located on the River Hornad in the Slovak Ore Mountains, in close proximity to the border of Hungary. It was European Capital of Culture in 2013, an honor it shared with Marseille, France.

It began as a small Hungarian town around 1230.

Today, Kosice is known as one of Europe's hidden gems, and as one of the most beautiful cities in Eastern Europe. It is praised for its culture, history and remarkably well preserved historic district, wealthy economy, cafes, and artistry.
