Johannesburg is the most-populated city in South Africa, and one of its three capitals. It is also the world's largest city that is not situated on a body of water.

The city was established in the 1880's after miners found success in the area, causing a gold rush.

Today, Johannesburg is one of the 50 largest cities in the world, known for its culture, variety, cuisine, poverty set against dazzling wealth, impressive skyline of skyscrapers, and crime.

I had a boating accident here in 2009, and underwent surgery for a broken nose and jaw. In 2007, I competed in a race here, the Nedbank Championships for the Disabled, and placed first, also making a world record.

Reeva Steenkamp: I lived here from approximately 2008 - 2012, pursuing my rising career as a model and also working as a paralegal. I was often spotted on the party scene in this city, and attended society events.
