Jabiru in People's Lives

Isabel Lucas: I lived here from 1994 - 1997, between the ages of nine and twelve. My family lived on the grounds of the Kakadu National Park, and I loved it here. Spending part of my childhood here made me more environmental and have a deeper appreciation for nature. While here, I attended a school within the park, and my best friend was an Aborigine, who showed me the ways of the bush. I considered myself to be a "wild bush child" and had many adventures. We moved to Cairns in 1997.
