Ismailia is a city in northeastern Egypt. It is located on the left bank of the Suez Canal, about halfway between the cities of Port Said and Suez. It is nicknamed "the City of Beauty and Enchantment."

The city was founded in 1863, during the construction of the Suez Canal, by Ismail Pasha, for whom the city is named.

Today, it is known for its waterfront, university, diversity, and folk dancing and music festival.
