Hillah, also frequently called Al Hillah, is a city in central Iraq, located on the Hilla branch of the Euphrates River, 62 miles south of Baghdad

Founded as the great ancient city of Babylon almost 5,000 years ago, the land is some of the most richly historic and oldest inhabited in the world. It is thought to likely be the former site of the Hanging Gardens of Babylon.

Today, Hillah is known for its Islamic heritage and traditions, riverfront, date palms, dust storms, and deep rooted history.
