Beautiful Havana
Havana is the capitol city of Cuba, and third-largest metropolitan area in the Caribbean.

It was founded by Spanish conquistadors in the 16th Century, who used its strategic location as a gathering point for their Spanish conquest.

Havana is now known for its architecture and a breezy, "forgotten by time" atmosphere.

People Born in Havana

Havana in People's Lives

Anais Nin: My mother sent me to Havana in 1923, after I fell in love with a man that she disapproved of. Her hopes were that I would meet a wealthy Cuban suitor and that my lover would forget about me, but instead, he followed me to Havana and we were married there.

Juan Francisco de la Bodega y Quadra: I was sent to this city by the Spanish Navy in 1784, while really wanting to be in Spain.

William Levy: I was born here in 1980, in the Cojimar area of the city - a tightknit community of fishermen. I was raised by my single mother, and we moved to Miami in 1994, when I was 14.
