Ohio River in Hanover, Indiana
Hanover is a small town in southern Indiana, located on the Ohio River.

Originally, this land was roamed by the Shawnee Native American Indians. The first European settlement was in 1801, when a man accidentally came ashore here on the way to New Orleans. It was officially settled, however, only in 1808, then called "Dunn's Settlement."

Today, it is known for its riverfront and college.
