Shah Hamadan Mosque
Hamedan is a city in northwestern Iran, one of the oldest cities in Iran and in the world. It is located in the foothills of the Alvand Mountain.

The city was first mentioned in history in Assyrian cuneiform texts dating back to 1100 BC. Around 700 BC, it was capitol of the Median Empire.

Today, it is known for its numerous historical sites.
