Gustavia is the capital and largest town of the island of St. Barthelemy, colloquially known as St. Bart's, an overseas island under the dominion of France. It has a population of approximately 2300 inhabitants, though these numbers swell in the summer season, when the island is crowded with wealthy vacationers from all over the world.
The island of St. Barthelemy was claimed by France in 1648, and the actual town of Gustavia was founded in 1786. It was named in honor of Gustav III of Sweden.
Today, Gustavia is known for its exotic beauty, high end shopping, luxury, wealthy visitors, yachting and maritime activities, and breezy downtown area.

We had been dating since 2003, for ten years. The wedding took place at a villa owned by a family friend. I wore a lace gown.
