Grimsby is a large town in the county of Lincolnshire in northeastern England, a notable seaport on the North Sea. The River Freshney is also located on the western outskirts of the town.

The first settlement here was by the Romans in the 2nd Century, but the town was founded by the Vikings as a fishing village in the 9th Century. It grew into a major seaport and fishing town, and was officially made a town in 1201.

Today, Grimsby is known for its large port, maritime economy, docks, boating, fishing, and downtown area.
