Gothenburg is the second largest city in Sweden, located on the southwestern coastline of the country. It is the fifth largest Nordic county, and ranked 12 Most Inventive city in the world by Forbes.

It was founded by the royal charter of Gustavus Adolphus of Sweden in 1621.

It is known for its beaches and as a major destination for higher education, sporting events, and film.
