Geneva is a town in northeastern Illinois, located 36 miles west of Chicago on the Fox River.
It was founded in the 1830's by settlers heading to and from Chicago. It was named after Geneva, New York.
Today, Geneva is known for its historical societies and locations, downtown area, riverfront, old Dutch windmill, quaint shops, gardens, and biking trails.
