Downpatrick Head
Downpatrick is a town in southeastern Northern Ireland, located 21 miles south of Belfast. It is the lowest elevated place in Ireland.

Settlement has existed here since the Bronze Age, and this is one of Ireland's most ancient towns. Ptolemy included it on his map of Ireland in 130 AD. Its exact date of founding is unknown.

Today, Downpatrick is known for its iconic rock formations, surrounding marshland, rugged beauty, history, cathedral and churches, and Gaelic heritage.
