Chrichton Collegiate Church
Crichton is a small town in the area of Midlothian in southeastern Scotland. The town's name is derived from the Gaelic word crioch, meaning "border," and the Old English word tune, meaning settlement, making the translated meaning of Crichton "border town."

The town began with the building of Crichton Castle in the late 14th Century, and grew in size when a college and church was built here in the 15th Century.

Today, Crichton is mainly known for its castle, as well as for its church and small town historic appeal.
