Coalburn is a small town in the authority of South Lanarkshire in southern Scotland.

It was founded in the 1850's as a railway settlement and coal mining town, from which it gets its name. After the decline of both the railroads and the coal mining industry, the population of the town declined.

Today, Coalburn is known for its suburban homes, general shopping plazas, and local pool.
