Cassano all' Ionio in People's Lives

Herodotus: I moved here from Athens around 443 BC. At the time, it was called Thurium, and was a newly established Athenian-supported colony. It is unknown how long I lived here, but many historians believe that I lived here for the rest of my life. I died in 425 BC, around the age of 60, quite possibly in this city.
