Bremen is the tenth largest city in Germany, and the second largest in northern Germany.

Though the establishment of Bremen is unclear, it has certainly been settled since at least the 7th Century.

Bremen is known as a charming, fairytale German city.

Bremen in People's Lives

Mary Todd Lincoln: I visited here with my son Tad in 1868.

Viktoria Tolstoy: I performed a concert here, at the Schlachthof, in 2009.

William Penn: I visited here in 1678 on a Quaker missionary voyage, where I befriended a Protestant minister. Though a great sympathizer toward the Quaker faith, he was too fearful of persecution to convert.
