Brawley is a town in southern California, located on both the Alamo and New Rivers, 13 miles north of El Centro and 70 miles west of Yuma.

The town was established in 1902, and was originally named "Braly," in honor of the man who owned the land. However, the owner was not exactly honored, and refused to allow his name to be used. The name was thus changed to Brawley.

Today, Brawley is known for its cattle feed industry, rodeos, agriculture, and extremely hot temperatures.
