Birzai in People's Lives

Peter the Great: I traveled here in 1701 to meet with the Polish king, Augustus II the Strong. Though I was at the time considering a war against the Polish, I got along well with the other monarch, and we talked together for three days, also doing quite a lot of drinking. On the third day, we had the brilliant idea of a cannon-firing competition, of which the Polish king was the victor.
