Berwick upon Tweed is a town in Northumberland in northern England, close to the border of Scotland and located at the mouth of the River Tweed.

It was established sometime around the 9th Century.

Today, it is known for its riverfront, its closeness with Scotland, and its bridge.

Thomas Boleyn, 1st Earl of Wiltshire: I visited here in 1503 while escorting Margaret Tudor to Scotland, following her marriage. It was one of the last stops we had in England.
