Beaumont is a town in Riverside County in southern California. It is bordered by the towns of Banning and Calimesa, both of which it has a close and friendly relationship with.

It was first settled in the 1860's, as an encampment for the men laying the Southern Pacific Railroad. It was originally named "Edgar Station." It was officially made a town in 1912, and given its current name, which means in French "beautiful mountain."

Today, Beaumont is known for its valley and mountain scenery, and quiet community.
